"None So Blind"
"Where No E.T. Has Gone"
I am an avid fan (and producer) of science fiction for purposes of entertainment, to express socio-political commentary and to ignite imagination. But, I take my science fact much more seriously. As much as I would love to believe U.F.O. lore such as the Nazca geoglyphs etched into the Peruvian plains are from ancient aliens or the pyramids at Giza were engineered by visitors from the Orion nebulae — there exists no indisputable scientific proof of any kind that Earth has ever been visited by extra terrestrials.
Thirty-seven years ago, the Voyager spacecrafts were launched from Earth, with hopes to someday be scooped up by a roving alien race, giving them absolute proof that there is at least one other civilization in the cosmos aside from theirs, and with a road map to find us. After traveling 25,000 miles per hour for nearly 40 years, one of the Voyager crafts has left the solar system (the first human device to ever do so) and has ventured into deep space between the stars. And, it will take another 40 thousand years to make it to the nearest star system. What will it find? Will anyone find it?
I offer the following as one possible scenario:
