--------------------------------COMMERCIAL INTERRUPTION HAS ENDED (FOR NOW)----------------------------------

Video Short Subject, "Tools of Civil Discourse, American Style"(above)

This is a video version of Steve Artley's editorial cartoon regarding the general condition of political polarity in the U.S. and the degradation of our noble heritage of debate etiquette.

Video Short Subject, "K-Nine Karma for K-Noem" (above)

This is a video version of Steve Artley's editorial cartoon regarding Krist Noem's losing her position at DHS and getting reassigned. The satirical twist in metaphor of using the doghouse plays well, given her history of killing an "untrainable" puppy.

Video Short Subject, "Eclipse Blitz"(above)

In the performance art of illusion, misdirection is a performance device that directs audience's attention toward a showy action, to distract them from noticing what's really happening. There are times when the distraction consumes the entire act. This one is a doozie and is set smack in the middle of the most volatile spot in the wold. Don't expect the "boys home" by Ramadan.

Video Short Subject, "The Prankster President" (above)

Lies in State

NEVER PUBLISHED. This (immediately above), from the artleytoons archives (2018). During the Senate's advise and consent process, nominee Kavanaugh defended his history of blackout drinking binges and associated sexual impropriety, adding that he still likes beer. I opted not to submit the cartoon, feeling one shouldn't be held accountable for conduct from old HS days. If it was a pattern that continued well into adulthood, that's a different matter. I'm curious how others feel about it.
